Humble Beginnings

The journey of Bitesize Group began with a simple yet profound idea: creating homemade biscuits that could be enjoyed with a cup of coffee!

Suzanne and Susan’s mother started making these biscuits at home, supplying them to local cafes where they quickly became a hit. Customers appreciated the little treat that came with their coffee, a tradition rooted in the Greek concept of ‘kerasma‘ – treating guests with complimentary baked goods to make them feel welcome and valued.

Expanding Horizons

As demand for their delicious biscuits grew, Bitesize Group began to explore new markets. They expanded beyond cafes, supplying their products to five-star hotels and casinos, among other industries. Today, they proudly serve close to 3,000 clients across 10-15 different sectors.

A significant milestone in their journey was the expansion of their production facility. As Suzanne and Susan’s vision grew, so did their need for a larger space to keep up with demand. They invested in a bigger facility, enabling them to scale up production and maintain the high standards of quality and consistency that their customers had come to expect.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to many businesses, including Bitesize Group. With 90-95% of their clients lost overnight, they had to pivot quickly. This led to the creation of their fundraising division, a move that has been incredibly successful. Recognising a need for healthier fundraising options in schools, Bitesize Group developed fundraising boxes featuring their biscuits.

Since its launch, the fundraising division has partnered with over 200 schools, all of which have sold out of their fundraising boxes. One school raised approximately $2,000 by selling 25 boxes. Bitesize Group’s approach ensures that every school, regardless of size, can participate and benefit from their fundraising program.

Bitesize Group’s commitment to community extends beyond schools. They have formed strong partnerships with organisations like Supertee and Heartbeat of Football. Supertee provides medical garments disguised as superhero costumes to sick children in hospitals, helping them feel more comfortable and brave during their treatment. Bitesize Group donates part of their fundraising proceeds to Supertee, enabling them to distribute these garments to children in need.

Heartbeat of Football focuses on preventing sudden cardiac deaths on the sports field by providing free heart checkups and placing defibrillators in sports facilities across the country. Bitesize Group supports this initiative by partnering in fundraising efforts, helping save lives through early detection of heart issues.
