White Choc & Macadamia

Another Year. Another Gold. Another Reason to Love What We Bake.

We’ll be honest award season never gets old.

Every year, the team at Bitesize Group pours everything into what we do: the sourcing of 90% Australian and New Zealand ingredients, the traditional recipes, the obsessive attention to texture and finish. And every year, when independent expert judges taste our biscuits blind no branding, no names, no bias and come back with results like these, it makes every early morning in the Chipping Norton kitchen completely worth it.

The 2026 Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards (RTFFA) now in its 31st year and run by the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania is one of Australia’s most rigorous and respected fine food competitions. Products are scored out of 100 against strict criteria covering General Appearance, Flavour, Texture/Baked Quality, and Quality of Finish. There are no participation trophies here. Gold requires 90+ points. Silver requires 82–89. Bronze, 74–81.

This year, Bitesize Group entered Class 12: Biscuits and Cookies and walked away with 10 medals.

The 2026 Results: In Full

Here’s exactly how each Bitesize biscuit performed under the judges’ scrutiny:

🥇 Gold Medal 90/100

Cinnamon Bite Judges’ comments: “Very pretty finish, nice soft texture.” A perfect 90. Our Cinnamon Bite hit the top of the scoring range with near-perfect marks across all four criteria, including 19/20 for General Appearance and 19/20 for Quality of Finish. Gold at the RTFFA is reserved for the very best and our Cinnamon Bite earned every point.

🥈 Silver Medals

Anzac Bite 89/100 “Uniform shape, nice flavour, classic.” One point from gold. A 19/20 for General Appearance and strong marks across the board. A true crowd-pleaser that does exactly what a great Anzac biscuit should.

Jaffa Bite 89/100 “Great flavour, uniform shape.” Also 89. Another near-gold result that shows our chocolate-orange combination continues to resonate strongly with expert palates.

Salted Caramel Bite 88/100 “Good caramel, uniform shape.” Consistent high marks, with 19/20 for appearance. The Salted Caramel Bite remains one of our most popular flavours with wholesale customers and the judges clearly agree.

Macadamia & White Choc Bite 88/100 “Nice bake and texture, uniform shape.” Another 88 reinforcing that our approach to inclusions and bake quality is consistently outstanding.

Lemon & Poppy Bite 85/100 “Uniform shape/bake. Nice flavour.” A clean, bright result for one of our most refreshing flavours.

Vanilla Bite 83/100 “Standard vanilla. Uniform shapes.” Silver for our classic Vanilla Bite a benchmark product that continues to perform in competition as well as it does on the café counter.

🥉 Bronze Medals

Raspberry White Choc Bite 80/100 “Freeze dried raspberry overpowering.” Honest feedback that we love. Bronze is still a strong result, and the judges’ note gives us clear direction something we’ll be working on for next year.

Kourabiethes 77/100 “Cracking flavour, pretty finish.” Our Greek-inspired shortbread earned its bronze with judges calling out “cracking flavour” high praise for a product that’s a genuine point of difference in our range.
